I’m a Vermont-based photographer available for hire and collaboration on thoughtful, story-driven photography projects. My professional work centers on people, place, and narrative, with an emphasis on creating images that feel natural, grounded, and authentic.

I regularly collaborate with individuals, organizations, nonprofits, and creative partners who value intention, trust, and a shared creative process. Whether the work is personal, editorial, documentary, or community-focused, I approach each project with care and respect for the people and spaces involved.

Much of my work is rooted in place—often within Vermont and New England—and focuses on visual storytelling that supports real people, real communities, and meaningful work.

A.J. Murray is a Vermont-based photographer who collaborates with individuals, nonprofits, and organizations on thoughtful photography projects focused on storytelling, community, and place. He works throughout Vermont and New England on editorial, documentary, and community-centered photography.

Recent Collaborations

Vermont Clover FC is a soccer club based in Burlington, VT competing in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) New England Conference. Clover was founded to fill a gap in the Vermont soccer player pathway by providing a high level competitive environment for homegrown and in-state players.

I’ve been following Vermont Clover FC during their inaugural season. Vermont Clover has been using the photos for social media and their own promotional & marketing content, website, and other initiatives.

Nordic Soccer Club is a Vermont-based youth soccer organization dedicated to developing players of all ages and skill levels through competitive programs, training, and community engagement. With teams ranging from grassroots youth development through advanced competitive play, Nordic provides opportunities for athletes to grow both on and off the field.

I partnered with Nordic Soccer Club to create a collection of action-driven images showcasing their youth programs in action. My work focused on capturing the energy, effort, and joy of the game—from individual player moments to team dynamics. These photographs were created for use across Nordic’s social media channels, marketing materials, website content, and other promotional initiatives, helping tell the story of the club and the athletes who represent it.
